How I work
My clients started calling me #TheHonestLender. I didn't pick it — which is probably why I'm comfortable using it.
I came into lending with an MBA and a Project Management Professional certification, and that background shapes how I run a file. A mortgage is a project: a hard deadline, a dozen moving dependencies, and half a dozen people who each need something from someone else in the right order. Most of what goes wrong in an escrow isn't a credit problem. It's a coordination problem.
So I work as a mortgage planner rather than an order-taker. We start with your plan — what you're buying, when, and what you want the payments to look like in five years rather than just next month. Then I deal with the financing questions up front, before they turn into the reason your closing slips.
My goal isn't to do your loan. It's to be your lender for life.
What I focus on
- First-time buyers who want the process explained before they're under contract
- Purchase planning — getting the pre-approval right so your offer holds up
- Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark and the wider Ventura County market
- The San Fernando Valley and northern Los Angeles County
- Refinances where the real question is whether it's worth doing at all
In the community
I support the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. Helping families put down roots here is the job — helping the kids already growing up here is the part that doesn't show up on a closing statement.

Same lender panel
Every originator at Emory Financial places loans through the same wholesale lender relationships built over twenty years — conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo, bank statement and DSCR. If one lender's guidelines don't fit your file, we move it rather than telling you no.
